Abbott Middle School Community Band Outreach Program Starts in November

Elgin’s Abbott Middle School is starting a new program to engage community members in a timeless tradition, a Community Band Outreach Program (CBOP).  The CBOP will hold an introductory meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9 in the Abbott Middle School Band Room. Abbott Middle School is located at 949 Van Street in Elgin.

           

This program is to engage and encourage musicians of all ages to join a community band to convey the importance of music in our society. Every instrumentalist from middle school to retired is welcome to join the band and play together as one community ensemble. Together we can all discover the power of music in life.
